Jesus Christ

 We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God enfleshed, the God man; He was, and is, the full and final revelation of God's nature and purpose.  In his death, He made atonement for the sin of the world.  He is our great High Priest, our Living Lord, the one and only all-sufficient Saviour.

• Luke 1:34-35

  • 34  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

  • 35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

• Matthew 1:18-20

  • 18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

  • 19  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

  • 20  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
