The Holy Spirit

Is one in divine nature with the Father and Son, the divine agent in regeneration, preservation, and in sanctification.  He abides within the hearts of the saved, aids them in prayer, reveals truth, and enables for Christ-like living and witnessing.

• 1 John 5:6-9

  •  6  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

  •  7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

  •  8  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

  •  9  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

• Ephesians 1:13-14

  • 13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

  • 14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

  • 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
• John 14:26
  • 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
